Privacy Policy

How DealProx collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website.

Last updated:

Information We Collect

When you contact DealProx, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. Please include only information needed for your enquiry and avoid sending passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information.

Website infrastructure and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, and basic usage data. Our contact form uses a short-lived, hashed network identifier for abuse prevention; raw IP addresses are not saved with contact messages. Hosting or security providers may maintain their own operational logs.

How We Use Information

We use information for the purposes relevant to your interaction with the publication:

  • Operate and improve the website
  • Respond to enquiries and review corrections or story tips
  • Understand website usage and improve content and reader experience
  • Maintain website security and prevent spam or abuse
  • Measure website performance and troubleshoot problems

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Essential cookies support features such as signing in to the editorial workspace. Browser storage may remember preferences, including your selected theme. Where enabled, analytics, advertising, or affiliate services may use cookies or similar technologies for their respective purposes.

You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may affect some features. Where applicable law requires consent for optional technologies, that consent should be obtained before they are used.

Analytics

The website counts article views and interactions with affiliate links. Third-party analytics services may also be used to understand traffic and usage where enabled. Such providers may process device, browser, or interaction information under their own privacy policies. This policy does not mean that every optional analytics service is currently active.

Third-Party Services

Hosting, database, media storage, security, and other service providers may process information to support the website. Providers may handle information in countries other than your own and according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements. We aim to limit information shared with providers to what is needed for their service.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled now or in the future, advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver advertisements, measure their performance, and prevent fraud. Any required notices and choices should be provided when those services are introduced. The presence of this section does not mean personalised advertising is currently enabled.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information simply because you contact the publication. Information may be shared with service providers helping us operate the website or handle an enquiry, where required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, our rights, or other people. We do not publish private contact messages as reader comments.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or to meet applicable legal obligations. Contact-form messages in the publication’s inbox are scheduled for automatic deletion after 365 days and may be deleted sooner. Deletion runs periodically, so expiry is not instantaneous. Separate correspondence or records required by law may have a different retention period. Abuse-prevention identifiers expire after approximately one hour; provider logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including restricting access to contact messages to authorised tenant administrators. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid using the contact form to send highly sensitive information.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, or request other control over your data. Contact DealProx through the Contact Us page with “Privacy request” in the subject and enough information to locate the relevant record.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. You may also be able to raise a concern with the privacy regulator responsible for your location.

Children’s Privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not intentionally directed toward young children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information that should not have been collected, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as website features, services, or applicable requirements change. The Last updated date reflects the latest substantive revision. Where additional notice is required for a material change, we aim to provide it through an appropriate channel.
