What’s Next for Apple in 2026? 6 New Products and Features to Expect
John

Apple has already had a major September, with new iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, and software announcements. But the company may not be finished for 2026.
Several reports suggest Apple could introduce additional products before the end of the year, including new Macs, an updated iPad mini, and refreshed smart-home devices. These products have not all been officially announced, so their launch dates and specifications could still change. Here are some of the products and features Apple watchers are currently expecting.
1. New Apple TV With Siri AI
A refreshed Apple TV is reportedly in development, with a newer chip and support for Apple's more personalized Siri AI experience among the expected upgrades.
Apple's current software updates already expand Siri AI across supported devices, while reports suggest the next Apple TV could bring those capabilities deeper into the living-room experience.
2. HomePod mini 2
Apple could also refresh the HomePod mini. Reports indicate that a new model may receive a newer chip and support for the company's updated Siri AI. Improvements to connectivity and audio have also been reported, although Apple has not confirmed the specifications.
3. OLED iPad mini
One of the most anticipated rumored products is a new iPad mini with an OLED display. Reports suggest Apple could combine an OLED panel with a newer-generation chip, potentially making the compact tablet a more capable option for users who want a smaller device.
4. New M6 MacBook Pro
Apple could also expand its latest-generation Mac lineup with a new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. Apple introduced the M6 in August 2026, describing it as its first 2-nanometer chip with a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU, and Neural Engine improvements.
Reports suggest the next MacBook Pro could bring that chip to Apple's professional laptop lineup.
5. Updated iMac
The iMac could also receive another refresh. Current reports point to an updated iMac featuring the M6 chip, potentially alongside new color options. The overall design is expected to remain familiar rather than receiving a major redesign.
6. Apple's Smart Home Hub
Perhaps the most interesting possibility is a new Apple smart-home hub. Reports have described a device featuring a display and deeper integration with Siri AI, potentially allowing users to control smart-home accessories, access widgets, make FaceTime calls, and interact with Apple's ecosystem from a central location.
However, the timing remains uncertain, and Apple has not officially announced the device.
Siri AI Could Be the Bigger Story
Beyond new hardware, Apple's expanding Siri AI platform could become one of the company's biggest developments of the year.
Apple says Siri AI is rolling out as a beta in English, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support planned for October. The new Siri is designed to provide more personalized assistance, understand onscreen information, and perform additional actions across Apple's software platforms.
