Sep 9 Apple's Event Will Not Present Tim Cook

According to Bloomberg Mark Gurman's sources, Tim Cook will be present at the screening of Apple's "Surprise and Shine" event on Wednesday, but he won't be in the event footage. John Ternus took over as Apple's CEO when Cook resigned on September 1 to become the company's executive chairman.

Apple has "carefully orchestrated this transition to make Ternus the face of the foldable iPhone and all the new products to come," according to Gurman's most recent Power On newsletter. Cook's inclusion in the presentation would undermine that.
